England might have had a tumbling start to Day Three of the second Test against India with Jonathan Bairstow tripping while entering the crease, the wicketkeeper-batsman has scored strong partnership with his counterpart Ben Stokes. This has lead to Bairstow unlocking a new milestone of 1,200 Test runs in a calendar year. He is surged to his 12th Test half-century on Saturday. His partner Stokes also got to his 8th half-century off 108 deliveries that included 7 fours. Both have built a healthy partnership that England were routing for of 103 runs. Alastair Cook was shattered with Mohammed Shami breaking the off-stump into two halves. Ben Duckett and Root fell prey to Ashwin’s spin attack.
