On Day Two of India versus England, second Test at Vishakapatnam, India completely dominated the day’s proceedings with an all-round show. Resuming the day at 317 for 4, India crumbled a bit to get to 455 but ruled the roost with the red leather. Not only did their bowlers raised their game, wicketkeeper-batsman, Wriddhiman Saha, pulled off a miraculous run-out to get rid of 19-year-old England opener, Haseeb Hameed for 13. The dismissal was similar to what India’s limited-overs skipper, MS Dhoni, did in the fourth One-Day International of the recently-concluded five-match series versus New Zealand. Here is the video showing the similarity of both the run-outs by India’s two able wicketkeepers, in both whites and coloured clothings:

In reply to India’s 455, England lost their Test skipper, Alastair Cook, soon as his off stump was literally broken into two by a ferocious delivery by Mohammed Shami. They, however, seemed to have recovered from that blip as the pair of Hameed-Joe Root added 47 for the second wicket before Saha produced a masterclass effort to make Hameed walk back to the hut.

In the 22nd over, Root flicked one towards square-leg and ran the first run hard but sent Hameed back after committing for another run by coming half way down the track. Hameed slipped in his return, which made matters worse, as debutant Jayant Yadav collected the ball and threw it in a jiffy before Saha took centre-stage.

Saha collected the ball in front and back flicked it onto the stumps in a similar fashion displayed by his mentor and senior pro, Dhoni, in a ODI versus New Zealand. Earlier, Dhoni had also dismissed Ross Taylor when he came back for a quick double smacking a delivery off Umesh Yadav towards deep fine-leg. Dhoni collected an accurate throw by Dhawal Kulkarni and hit the stumps without even looking at it to send Taylor packing in the fourth ODI at Ranchi.

Both the wicketkeepers have been accurate behind the stumps and the above mentioned video shows the quality of wicketkeepers Indian cricket team possesses at the moment.
