Jos Buttler and Joe Root continue to frustrate India in the first session on Day Three of the fourth test at Old Trafford, Manchester on Saturday. England are 282 for six with a lead of 130 runs.
India’s slip fielding continues to cost them wickets. With the new ball, Bhuvneshwar Kumar found the edge of Jos Buttler but Virat Kohli at slips dropped it. Buttler was on 34 then.
Earlier, Root got to his seventh Test fifty. Root has now scored fifties in his first five Tests against India. Buttler too is going solidly. These two came together at 170 for six.
