Hello and welcome to our live live coverage of the 4th Test between India and England at The Ageas Bowl, Southampton.

India were supposed to battle hard after the hard-nosed battle in the first Testagainst England, at Edgbaston. They chose to sink without a trace in the second, at Lord’s. After Lord’s, Virat Kohli‘s men were supposed to be obliterated at Trent Bridge. Instead, they turned things around with a 203-run win in the third Test of the five-match series. What to expect now, of the fourth, at the The Ageas Bowl?

In four County Championship matches at the venue this summer, 83 wickets have been taken by pace bowlers and 19 by spinners.

It says a lot about how the current series is balanced, when England have to look back four years and gain some semblance of confidence.
