During the third and final ODI between India and New Zealand, Rohit Sharma scored his 15th ODI hundred. As a matter of fact, the last time he played an ODI at Green Park in Kanpur he scored a magnificent 150 against South Africa. He seems to have taken fancy to amassing runs by hundreds at this venue.

In the process, Rohit became the second Indian to score 1,000 runs in the format in 2017 the first, by all means, being Virat Kohli. Adding more extravagance to his achievements, Rohit now has 150 sixes in ODIs. He took second-least number of innings (165); Shahid Afridi (160) tops the list, while MS Dhoni had taken 192 innings.

Rohit, for that matter, has been in ominous touch in 2017, averaging over 66 in ODIs. This was his fourth century this year: he scored 123* against Bangladesh in Birmingham, 124* against Sri Lanka in Pallekele, 104 against Sri Lanka in Colombo, 125 against Australia in Nagpur.

Rohit ranks 7th in ICC ODI Rankings for batsmen.
