On the first day of the third Test between India and New Zealand at Holkar Stadium of Indore, it was all about captain Virat Kohli‘s 13th ton but on the second day of the match, it is all about vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane‘s ton. This is Rahane’s eighth Test century of his career. He came to the crease at the crunch situation when India lost their third wicket at the score of 100 on day one. From there on, Rahane did an excellent job of partnering with captain Kohli and did not let any wicket fall throughout the day. Rahane ended the day one with his score of 79.

Day two began with some singles and doubles but Rahane was probably not in mood to deal in one’s and two’s as he soon started dealing in boundaries. The first two boundaries on day two came from Rahane’s bat. It took only 28 balls for Rahane to move to 100 from 79. Rahane has been been among the most trustable batsman in Indian Test batting line-up but he has never converted his hundred into a big score. Well, this is probably his best opportunity to convert hundred into a big one. Meanwhile, fans on social media have started talking about Rahane’s knock, which came at the time when India needed it most. Here are some of the tweets from social zone.

Currently, India are at commanding position with no loss of wickets on day two but the Kiwis are expected to bounce back in the game soon.
