India are at 56 for one after six overs against South Africa in the ICC World T20 2014 semi-final at Dhaka on April 4. India are chasing a 173-run target to reach the T20 World Cup final. Ajinkya Rahane is batting on 24 and Virat Kohli is on three. Rohit Sharma was the first batsmen dismissed for 24 off 13 deliveries.

Beuran Hendricks was brought into the attack in the fourth over. Rahane came forward and chipped one over cover-point for a four. Rohit then tried to play a lofted straight drive, but did not get any distance on his shot. Faf du Plessis took the catch just behind the wickets at the bowler’s end. Rohit struck four fours and one six in his innings.

The 50 came up for India on the last ball of the fifth over. Rahane slapped a back of a length delivery from Wayne Parnell over wide long-off for a six.

South Africa were powered to a competitive total of 172 for four in their 20 overs thanks mainly to Faf du Plessis and JP Duminy. They were involved in a 71-run partnership for the third wicket. Du Plessis top-scored with 58 runs and Duminy remained unbeaten on 45. Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers for India. He took three wickets for 22 runs in his four overs.
