A day after he was ruled out of the South Africa Test series owing to injury, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah vowed to make a comeback that will be stronger than the setback.

A day after he was ruled out of the South Africa Test series owing to injury, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah vowed to make a comeback that will be stronger than the setback.

The 25-year-old took to twitter to share the message and also thanked the fans for their recovery wishes.

“Injuries are part & parcel of the sport. Thank you for all your recovery wishes. My head is held high & I am aiming for a comeback that’s stronger than the setback,” wrote the Gujarat pacer, accompanied with an emoji of a lion and one of his recent photo from a Test match.

The pacer was ruled out of the three-match series due to  stress fracture on his lower back, and was subsequently replaced by Umesh Yadav in India’s squad for the series, which starts on 2nd October at Vizag.

Bumrah was rested for the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa and last played in West Indies in the Test series, claiming 13 wickets in two matches, including a hat-trick.

His injury comes as a major set back for India ahead of bus home season.
