India vs Sri Lanka 2014, 2nd ODI at Ahmedabad: Sri Lanka lose Suraj Randiv

Nov 6, 2014

India have taken command of the second One-Day International (ODI) against Sri lanka at the Sardar Patel Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad. In the 45h over, Sri Lanka are struggling at 221 for eight and are hoping for a miracle to push for a big score. Angelo Mathews is out in the middle and he has waged a lone battle. Kumar Sangakkara had scored 61 earlier.

Suraj Randiv is the latest man to be dismissed. In the 44th over, he made room to Ravichandran Ashwin and was bowled for 10. That leaves Mathews alone in the middle. He has fought through this innings and has crafted a good knock for himself. However, with wickets falling at the other end, things have only been tough for him.

Earlier, Sri Lanka had won the toss and elected to bat. In place of Varun Aaron, India got Ravindra Jadeja. Sri Lanka dropped Upul Tharana and got back Kusal Perera in his place.
