He sustained the injury during the third of the five-match series at Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy. <p></p> <p></p>Chandimal was hit while batting on 14, off Hardik Pandya. He was immediately treated by the medical team. They were 210 for four after 44 overs, needing another eight runs to win when players were sent back into the dressing-room, following the rowdy behaviour from Sri Lankan supporters who resorted to throwing bottles into the field of play, as reported by <em>PTI</em>.
