Sri Lanka started off solidly in chase of 265 against India in the fourth match of the Asia Cup 2014. The Indian pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami got some swing early on, but the openers survived and put up a good score.

Kusal Perera survived in the fourth over by Shami when he went for a cut and the ball went high in the air. Shikhar Dhawan at thirdman came running in and Ajinkya Rahane ran backwards. Both of them clashed and eventually spilled the catch.  The Indians are good in the field with Ravindra Jadeja as well coming close to pulling off a stunning catch at covers.

Both Perera and Thirimanne played well-timed shots for boundaries and picked up the score.

India had posted 264 for nine with Dhawan top-scoring (94). Ajantha Mendis and Sachithra Senanayake had picked seven wickets together.
