Chris Gayle has been run-out off the second ball of the first One-Day International (ODI) between India and the West Indies at Nehru Stadium, Kochi.

Gayle pushed the ball to the off-side and started running. Bhuvneshwar Kumar ran across after completing his follow through and threw the ball back on to the stumps. Gayle was diving, but was found short of the crease. He dived and seems to be in great pain. The physio has come out to have a look at him.

Marlon Samuels will now join Johnson Charles in the centre. Gayle has been taken off the field by a stretcher.
