India vs West Indies 1st ODI at Kochi: Rohit gets fifty; India 104/1 in 17 overs

Rohit Sharma has got to his fifty in the first One-Day International (ODI) against West Indies at Nehru Stadium, Kochi. Chasing 212 to win, India are in command at the end of 17 overs as they are 106 for one. Rohit is unbeaten on 52 and Virat Kohli is batting on 36.

In the 16th over, which was bowled by Narsingh Deonarine, Rohit first drove him through the covers and then cut him behind point for four. He then punched a single down the ground to complete his fifty.

Sunil Narine bowled the 17th over and kept the batsman quiet. After struggling through the first few overs, he has finally found his line and had Rohit playing forward and back.
