Suresh Raina broke the West Indies middle-order to bring the visitors down to 163 for five in 35 overs. After sending back Marlon Samuels (24) and Lendl Simmons (29), Raina dismissed Narsingh Deonarine for just four runs. Deonarine went for a sweep shot to a ball which was travelling straight and smashed into his off stump.

Darren Bravo has been the only impressive batsman so far completing his half-century. Since the 65-run partnership between Johnson Charles and Samuels, the visitors have struggled to keep their wickets intact despite scoring at a healthy run-rate.

West Indies had won the toss and elected to bat. Their explosive opener Chris Gayle returned to the pavilion after being run-out for duck. Unfortunately Gayle stumbled and fell in the attempt to complete the run and had to be stretchered off.
