Jason Holder has taken the first wicket for the West Indies in the first One-Day International (ODI) against India at Kochi. Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for five as he edged Holder to the keeper. The ball rose and Dhawan poked at it as the edge went through. India are 23 for one in four overs.

The surface is tricky as there is variable bounce. Earlier, the first ball from Ravi Rampual had Rohit a bit surprised. In the second over, Holder got one to swing away late and it had square Rohit. The wicket-keeper Johnson Charles also couldn’t stop it because of the copious movement. Dhawan then got his first boundary when he hit Holder through the covers for a four.

Kohli got off the mark with a push through the covers for four.
