India vs West Indies 1st Test, Day 1: Marlon Samuels goes aggressive; score 75/2

Marlon Samuels has adopted an aggressive approach against the Indian bowlers on Day One of the first Test between India and West Indies. Samuels is batting on 36 while Darren Bravo on the other end is on three with the team total on 85 for the loss of two wickets.
 
Samuels started his innings with a boundary down the leg-side off Shami Ahmed.  He right-hand batsmen even welcomed Pragyan Ojha with a straight six. Some of the punch through the covers were well stopped by fielders.
 
West Indies were jolted by the wickets of the openers. Shami Ahmed got a wicket on debut dismissing Kieran Powell for 28. Powell was dismissed by a well-directed short ball. He tried to pull it and the ball lobbed in the air which was caught by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The first wicket was that of Chris Gayle for 18.
 
This is Sachin Tendulkar’s penultimate Test. The maestro is set to retire after his 200th Test.
