Resuming Day Two of the first Test at 37 for no loss, India lost their first wicket in the form of Shikhar Dhawan bowled by Shane Shillingford for 23. India are 48 for the loss of one wicket.
Â
Darren Sammy took a chance by starting off with a spinner instead of pacer. While the commentators expressed their apprehensions, Shillingford delivered for the team. The ball held its line with low bounce. Dhawan trying to slice it edged it back to his stumps. Just a ball earlier, Dhawan was almost lobbed back to the bowler.
Â
West Indies have posted 234 in their first innings. This is Sachin Tendulkarâs 199th Test and the maestro is set to retire after his 200th Test in Mumbai.
