The fifth One Day International (ODI) between India and West Indies scheduled to be held in Dharamshala on October 20 might be put on hold following reports of growing unrest between Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) and the Himachal Pradesh government.

HPCA has requested additional security as well as administrative support for what will be only the second international game at the venue, should it take place. The HPCA is in trouble with the government of Himachal Pradesh following alleged irregularities in HPCA.

According to a report in jamaicaobserver.com, HPCA spokesperson Sanjay Sharma said, “We have written to the district police and the district administration requesting for security cover and support during upcoming ODI match between India and West Indies. We hope for cooperation and support from both the district police and the civil administration to make the event successful.”
