With the above directions, the court disposed of the application moved by DDCA seeking directions to SDMC to issue provisional occupancy certificate for the period from September 25 to October 12 to make necessary preparations, as had been done in the past.
During the hearing, DDCA submitted before the court that it has completed all the formalities required for obtaining a completion certificate with respect to the stadium, except for a permission from L&DO. The Association also contended that despite several reminders, no decision has been taken by the L&DO and the file is now before the joint secretary concerned.
SDMC, on its part, contended DDCA does not fulfil requirements for completion certificate and each time a match is scheduled here, it comes before the court for an interim relief. The bench too questioned DDCA as to “how long this will go on? Even we are fed up” and made it clear that “this is the last occasion” it is passing such orders and added “do not come back again”.
