India lost its third wicket after Suresh Raina was dismissed off the bowling off Jerome Taylor after he nicked a well-pitched delivery to wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin to depart at a score of 71 from 58 deliveries, missing out on an opportunity of scoring his fifth ODI century.

West Indies won the toss and elected to field first. Earlier, Rahane completed his seventh ODI fifty thanks to some fluent shots. He timed the ball well right from the first ball of the innings. Both teams will look to grab victory at the end of the match to be declared the series winner as the remainder of the series after the current ODI has been called off according to a recent announcement by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
