OUT: West Indies lose their 4th wicket for 45. Khaleel Ahmed strikes in his first over to remove the dangerous Shimron Hetmyer out LBW. • 6:42 PM IST

Can you guess who is ahead of him as India’s all-time highest six-hitter?

  • 6:28 PM IST

Another run-out: Suicidal stuff this from the West Indies. It’s Kieran Powell who has to head back now. Five balls after the previous run-out, Powell takes off from the non-striker’s end. Slight hesitation between the batsmen but Powell was half way down the wicket. Virat Kohli picks up the ball and his aim is spot in. West Indies 3 for 20.

  • 6:23 PM IST

Windies lose two early: Not the kind of start West Indies were looking forward to. With 20 on the board, they have lost opener Chandrapaul Hemraj and the big one, Shai Hope on the same score. Hemraj found the fielder at cover to give Bhuvneshwar his first wicket of the day. Two balls later, a brilliant piece of work in the outfield saw a diving Hope take off but fall short of his crease. Hope took off for the single and Kuldeep picked up and threw the ball swiftly in a direct hit.

  • 4:52 PM IST

OUT: There won’t be a fourth double century for Rohit. Falls 38 short of it. Wide delivery from Ashley Nurse and Rohit edges it to Chandrapaul Hemraj at short third-man. None the less, a fabulous knock of 162 from him, setting up the platform for a final flourish.

  • 4:42 PM IST

150 up for Rohit Sharma. What are odds of him getting a fourth double century in ODIs? With over seven overs remaining, it looks very likely.

Rohit overtakes Sachin Tendulkar for the second most number of sixes for India. He now has 196, second only to MS Dhoni.

  • 4:30 PM IST

Alright, the final 10 overs remain. Projected score is 326 but at 261 for 2, India would surely eye 350. This is an ideal scenario for Rohit who has the tendency to go berserk in the final 10 overs.

  • 4:25 PM IST

150 of the partnership comes up between Rohit and Rayudu. Rayudu just beginning to accelerate. Two boundaries and a six for him off the last two overs. India 252 for 2 in 39 overs.

  • 4:17 PM IST

Fifty for Rayudu: A very well-deserved half-century for Ambati Rayudu. He has faced less deliveries in this partnership but has scored at almost a run-a-ball; his seconf half-century of the series. India 227 for 2 in 37 overs. With Rohit out there and his penchant to accelerate, India should be eyeing a 350-plus total.

  • 3:11 PM IST

India have moved to 110/2 after 20 overs. The scoring rate is healthy and India have Rohit out there. West Indies would look to get him as soon as possible in order to expose the middle order. Interesting period of play lies ahead.

  • 3:02 PM IST

India lose Kohli after their 100: There will be no 4th straight hundred for Virat Kohli. Shortly after Rohit Sharma and Kohli had brought up the 100 for India, Kemar Roach got the wicket West Indies so dearly wanted. Skipper Kohli, looking to glide the ball to third man, edges it to the wicketkeeper and India lose their second wicket for 101.

  • 2:32 PM IST

Paul, after getting his man, pulls off Dhawan’s patent celebration. India 71 for 1. A huge cheer across the stadium as Virat Kohli walks out to the middle.

  • 2:08 PM IST

Consecutive boundaries for Dhawan off Nurse to bring up India’s 50 after eight overs. Positive start by the openers. This is the third time he’s gotten off to a start in the series. West Indies, understanding his vulnerability against right-arm off spin have introduced Nurse. Going to be a fascinating battle.

  • 2:06 PM IST

Consecutive boundaries for Dhawan off Nurse to bring up India’s 50 after eight overs.

  • 1:57 PM IST

Six overs and one ball gone and Dhawan and Rohit are just beginning to get in their elements to take India to 40 without loss. Dhawan has cracked back-to-back flicks for six; had Sanath Jayasuriya written all over it.

India vs West Indies 4th ODI

Hello everyone! Welcome to our live coverage from the fourth ODI between India and West Indies to be played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai today. The series has been set up nicely with West Indies giving favourites India a run for their money. A thrilling tie in Vizag was followed by a confidence-boosting win in Pune which has levelled the series 1-1.

Plenty will depend on India’s under-fire middle order if they are to regain the lead. The fourth India-West Indies game will be played at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium on Monday, which will host its first international match in nine years.

Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer have emerged as the two bankable options, and West Indies skipper Jason Holder has played the supportive role successfully with the bat. But most importantly, it’s their lower order that has bailed West Indies out of trouble in all three games. The only area they need to improve upon is their top order.
