India managed to go to stumps at 234 for 5 on Day One of the third Test thanks to an unbeaten century stand between Ravichandran Ashwin and Wriddhiman Saha. Ashwin came in at a time when India were in a bit of trouble and he along with Saha weathered the storm initially and then started playing their shots. India had lost five wickets before tea, but ensured that they did not lose anymore in the final session. Ashwin was given a lucky break when he was caught at point off a back foot no-ball from Shannon Gabriel. Saha is four runs away from a well-deserved fifty.
