A confident Team India take on Zimbabwe in the second One-Day International (ODI) at the Harare Sports Club on Monday. India are playing Zimbabwe in Three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) at the latter’s home and have started the campaign off in a positive note, winning he series opener. Zimbabwe, who have had a lot of changes in the team and its coaching staff, have let the fans down by their dismal show. While the second match will be India’s chance to pocket the ODI series straight away, Zimbabwe would look to make a comeback and stay valid in the series. Team India are playing with half their strength as the star players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and others have been rested for the series. The young Indian side led by skipper MS Dhoni performed brilliantly, winning the first match with ease. KL Rahul created history in the first match as he became the first Indian to score a century on his ODI debut. Ambati Rayudu provided him the perfect support from the other end with his 62 runs. Zimababwe, on the other hand, failed to make any impact with their performance. The batting failed to live up to the expectations as no one could contribute with any mentionable score apart from Elton Chigumbura who added 41. The bowling was the biggest disappointment as only Tendai Chatara remained successful with a solitary wicket.
