Sudhir Gautam, the Indian cricket fan famous for his ubiquitous presence in the stadiums in matches featuring the team, was attacked by a mob of aggressive Bangladesh supporters, after India’s loss to Bangladesh in the first ODI in Mirpur on Thursday. Sudhir, a devotee of Sachin Tendulkar who travels the world over to support the team wherever they play, was sheltered by two policemen in an auto-rickshaw when the mob threw stones at him.

He was hunted down, however, and the crowd tore the covers of the vehicle in an attempt to place another attack on him. All this was revealed in a Hindi television channel. READ: Bangladesh trounce India by 6 wickets in 2nd ODI; pull off historic series win
