The Indian team was reported to be caught in a bomb scare after their Twenty20 tour match against Kent on Friday.
According to the reports, the local police immediately swung into action and advised Indian players to leave the changing room and enter the ground after it was informed to them that a suspect package was identified in a bin.
Team India had to be escorted by a fleet of taxis with police escort after almost an hour’ s wait on the ground.
A witness was quoted in Zee on Saturday as saying, “The place was crawling with the bomb squad.”
The police did not give in details of the incident. This was the second bomb scare in Kent on Friday after a hoax call of bomb scare on railway station was made to police.
