India’s selection committee chief MSK Prasad has cleared the air about any rift between his panel and players. Prasad’s comments came after India players – Murali Vijay and Karun Nair – openly disclosed that there has been no communication from the selectors or the team management regarding their omission from the squad.

“Team management and selection committee are always on the same page. We are very, very clear on our selection policy and I stand by that,” Prasad said on Thursday.

Prasad was in Hyderabad where he along with BCCI’s Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai met India skipper Virat Kohli, head coach Ravi Shastri and Rohit Sharma to chalk out a communication channel that will be employed during selection procedures.

According to a report in PTI on Thursday, henceforth, Rai decided that after every selection announcement, there will be a press conference so that no conclusions are drawn about the selection policy.
