The World Cup  2019 is scheduled to be hosted at 11 venues across England and Wales. The most prestigious event will begin with a clash between England and South Africa at The Oval, London on May 30. Whereas Lords will host its 15th World Cup Final on July 14.

India will go in the World Cup as one of the favourites as they top the ICC One Day International (ODI) ranking table. They will begin their World Cup campaign on June 5 against South Africa at Southampton. However, the most awaited and high pressure match will be played on June 16 when India will take on Pakistan after two years at Old Trafford.  The two nations last faced each other in Champions trophy 2017 final which Pakistan won by 180 runs.

India have been in good form in the 50 over format in recent times. They dominated their last overseas tour against South Africa by comprehensively winning the 6-match series by 5-1. The addition of wrist spinners is a big positive for the team as batsmen find it difficult to read the deliveries off the arm.

This would be the first ODI World Cup for Virat Kohli  as a captain and could well be the last one for MS Dhoni. India will still have to find a permanent player for the number four spot with Dinesh Karhik, Manish Pandey, Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer being the contenders. Suresh Raina who recently made his comeback in the shortest format of the game may also been seen as an option.

Here is the probable schedule of India’s schedule in World Cup 2019.
