India’s squad for England Test series 2025: Shubman Gill to lead the side as they will begin their new WTC cycle
Indian squad for five-match Test series in England
On Saturday March 24, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for the five-match Test series against England. This series is going to begin June 20, and will be the first assignment for the both the teams in their World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 campaign.
As the suspense was high and a couple contenders for the question on who will captain the Indian team, BCCI has clarified every role and has announced Shubman Gill as the captain of the team, along with Rishabh Pant being the vice-captain.
The Venues and schedule for the whole series:
1) First Test: June 20-24, Headingley (Leeds)
2) Second Test: July 2-6, Edgbaston (Birmingham)
3) Third Test: July 10-14, Lord’s (London)4)
4) Fourth Test, July 23-27, Old Trafford (Manchester)
5)Fifth Test: July 31- August 4, The Oval (London)
