Ross Taylor smashed an unbeaten 47 off 35 balls as Rajasthan Royals defeated Pune Warriors India by six wickets.

Ashok Menaria and Taylor led Rajasthan Royals fightback, and added 33 runs for the fourth wicket. Rahul Sharma claimed his third wicket in the match scalping Menaria, who raced to 29 off 22 balls smashing three sixes.

Sharma helped Pune gain the upperhand when he scalped the wicket of in-form Johan Botha, as Rajasthan slipped to 59 for three halfway through. Botha was trapped in front of the wickets for 12.

In pursuit of 144, Rajasthan Royals lost their openers Rahul Dravid and Shane Watson at the score of 43 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Alfonso Thomas dismissed Shane Watson after he added 29 runs for the first wicket with Rahul Dravid to provide Rajasthan a brisk start.

Dravid, who got a lifeline when Harpreet Singh dropped him at 14 off Murali Karthik, could not last long as Rahul Sharma dismissed him on a return catch.

Earlier, Pune set a 144-run target for Rajasthan Royals to win. Robin Uthappa scored 35 runs off 21 balls, but failed to convert a good start into a big score. Manish Pandey garnered 30 runs off 31 balls.
