Chennai Super Kings registered 18-run victory over Delhi Daredevils in their IPL match at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Chennai. Chennai bowlers took wickets at regular intervals and never allowed Delhi batsmen to settle in. With this win, Chennai now leads the points table.

Delhi skipper James hopes tried to up the run-rate late in the match but once he fell it was all over for the visitors.

Irfan Pathan and Venugopal Rao put up a 43 run partnership to help Delhi stay in the match as the visitors reached 107 for 3 at the end of 15th over in their match against Chennai at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Chennai.

Rao looked aggressive clattering boundaries off Dawayne Bravo and Suresh Raina and then hitting Shadab Jakati for two sixes.

Rao joined Pathan after Dwayne Bravo removed David Warner before R Ashwin accounted for Colin Ingram.

Earlier, Ojha showed his aggressive intent right in the first over hitting Morkel to the mid-wicket boundary. He then clattered Doug Bollinger to consecutive boundaries in the next over. Just when the former Rajasthan batsman looked dangerous, he miss-timed the ball only to find Shadab Jakati.

Chennai put up 176 for four in their allotted 20 overs against Delhi.
