Chennai Super Kings qualified for play-offs by defeating Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 11 runs in their Indian Premier League match. Brad Hodge remained unbeaten on 51.

Ravindra Jadeja was caught by Suresh Raina for 19 off Doug Bollinger, while Owais Shah was runout for three.

Shadab Jakati dismissed Brendon McCullum for 33, while Brad Hodge got a lifeline from Murali Vijay, when he dropped him on 20.

Dwayne Bravo struck to remove Gnaneswara Rao for 19, after he added 34 runs for the second wicket with Brendon McCullum. Kochi reached 47 for two from seven overs.

McCullum and Rao steadied Kochi s chase after the early dismissal of Parthiv Patel in their Indian Premier League match against Chennai Super Kings.

McCullum was denied a brisk start by the Chennai bowlers, and could only hit two boundaries in the fourth over off Doug Bollinger.

Rao freed up his arms in the sixth over hitting two boundaries off Shadab Jakati to take the score to 40 at the end of the power play.

Patel, who came up the order to open the innings with Brendon McCullum, was dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin for six.

Earlier, Wriddhiman Saha smashed an unbeaten 46 as Chennai Super Kings reached 152 for five in their allotted 20 overs.
