Kochi Tuskers Kerala were off to a brisk start in pursuit of 141 set by Delhi Daredevils garnering runs 67 for one in six overs in their Indian Premier League match at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.

Brendon McCullum showed aggressive intent from the start, and clouted Delhi pacer Morne Morkel for three boundaries in the second over that set the tone. The Kiwi batsman continued his onslaught when he extracted 23 runs off Umesh Yadav that included two boundaries and as many sixes.

McCullum raced to 37 off 19 balls studded with five boundaries and two sixes, and was dismissed by Morne Morkel. Michael Klinger too joined the party by smashing two boundaries off Irfan Pathan.

Roelof van der Merwe provided Delhi the second breakthrough when he trapped Klinger in front of the wicket for 18 off 20 balls.

Kochi lost their third wicket in form of Mahela Jayawardene, who was runout for 8.
