Watson was the more aggressive of the two smashing three consecutive boundaries in the 8th over. His partner, Dravid complimented by rotating the strike before dancing down the track to hit Kieron Pollard to the long off fence for a boundary.

Watson, who was fortunate to survive a run-out chance, continued dealing in boundaries smashing couple off Lasith Malinga but not before taking one bouncer on the chin in the previous over. He then pulled the Sri Lankan for two boundaries and clamped a six before the strategic time-out.

Mumbai Indians riding on a gritty half-century by Rohit Sharma, reached 133 for 5.
