Chennai restrict Kolkata Knight Riders for a 158 for six in their allotted 20 overs in their IPL 2012 match at Kolkata

Put into bat, openers gave Kolkata a solid start as Gautam Gambhir and Brendon McCullum took the attack to the Chennai bowlers.

The duo put on a partnership of 99 of 90 balls as KKR looked set for a big score.

But against the run of flow, a terrible mix up saw McCullum depart to hand Chennai their first wicket.

MuCullum s departure saw, Chennai claw back into the match with the all important wicket of Gambhir.

Shahdab Jakati got one to slip one through Gambhir s defence to have his stumps castled.

Chennai bowlers then bowled a disciplined line as KKR kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Yusuf Pathan and Debabrata Das tried to up the momentum but in the process the former perished playing a shot to many.

Jakati was the pick of the Chennai bowlers with figures of 2 for 26.
