IPL 2012: Sachin Tendulkar gets away because he is master, tweets Murali Kartik

Pune Warriors India spinner Murali Kartik, on Monday, almost stroked a controversy when he tweeted that Mumbai Indians batsman Sachin Tendulkar get-off from being given out just because he is master.

The incident happened during MI match against Kings XI Punjab on Sunday. During the match, Praveen Kumar had Tendulkar caught in front of the wicket. The umpire turned down the appeal. The Punjab players didn t show much displeasure over it, but Kartik revealed his frustration on twitter.

The left-arm spinner tweeted: “That s was a dead duck, he has just gotten away coz he is the Master,unfair on PK.” (sic)

Later, sensing the lash back from Tendulkar s fans over the tweet, Kartik immediately got down to damage control mode.

He tweeted: “Everyone calm down,its not a. Slight on the Master,my tweet was to say that since everyone1 wants to watch the Great man bat,sometimes .” (sic)

He even went on to clarify that he had no intention of seeking publicity by making comments on the Little Master.

“Such decisions2 the bowlers dismay don’t go in their favor.so relax,I don’t need publicity&the amt I respect&adore the great man,I knw,chill.” (sic)
