Another lacklustre performance by the Pune Warriors India. Abu Nechim bowls the final over. He picks up two wickets. Two wickets in Harbhajan Singh’s over! Angelo Mathews is gone! A direct throw from Sachin Tendulkar! The crowd is going mad. Angelo Mathews is gone for duck. Two balls later, Harbhajan sends back Yuvraj Singh. Asad Rauf takes his time but rules it in Mumbai’s favour to adjudge Yuvraj leg before wicket. He falls for 33. Pune in big trouble for the umpteenth time this season. Just one run from the over.

PWI 84/3 | Overs 13 |  Yuvraj 28* OUT! Pandey 29 (29)

Malinga comes back into the attack. Mumbai’s fielding has been fine but their throwing has been off. They’ve missed a few genuine run out chances with erratic throws to the keeper. Jonty Rhodes will be making a note of it. Meanwhile, Malinga ends the over witha wicket off a poor delivery. A full toss is put away by Pandey but he cannot clear Ambati Rayudu at deep midwicket.

Pune desperately need a move on here. Its all Mumbai Indians so far. Harbhajan bowls another good over. Just five singles from it. The home side manage just 58 for two at the half-way stage.

PWI 54/2 | Overs 9 | Pandey 22*, Yuvraj 9*

Ojha continues and gives very little away. Pandey and Yuvraj are being tied down beautifully here. Another over with just four runs from it.

PWI 50/2 | Overs 8 | Pandey 19*, Yuvraj 8*

Its spin from both ends as Harbhajan Singh comes into the attack. And he almost strikes in the second delivery.  He skids one through and Pandey fails to read it. It goes inches past his bat. Pandey is living dangerously. Even Yuvraj cannot put him away. A good start by Harbhajan. Just four runs from the over as Pune Warriors reach 50.

A tidy over from Abu Nechim. Uthappa and Pandey can only manage four runs from it.

What a soft dismissal for Finch! Jonhson bowls a half-volley and Finch guides it to Dwayne Smith at cover. Two runs and a wicket from the over.

PWI 12/0 | Overs 2 | Uthappa 2*, Finch 10*

Assam lad Abu Nechim shares the new ball and he is getting a hint of swing. Finch takes advantage of the fielding restrictions and launches a length delivery over mid-wicket. Nechim is unfortunate to give another boundary off the last ball, when Finch goes for a big shot and an inside edge travels to the fine leg boundary.

PWI 1/0 | Overs 1 | Uthappa 1*, Finch 10*

Mitchell Johnson starts with a beauty to beat Robin Uthappa’s bat. Its hot in Pune and the pitch is slow but Johnson is getting the ball to bounce a fair bit. What an over first up, just one run from it.

Pune Warriors India skipper Aaron Finch won the toss and elected to bat first against the Mumbai Indians in the 58th match of the Indian Premier League 2013.

The BIG news from the centre is that Glenn Maxwell finally makes his debut. The million dollar baby comes in for an ill Kieron Pollard. The Pune Warriors have five changes with Ashok Dinda, Manish Pandey, Abhishek Nayar, Kane Richardson and Ajantha Mendis coming into the side. The good thing is Parvez Rasool gets another game. He would be raring to go against the strong batting line of the Mumbai Indians.
