Gurunath Meiyappan, the team principal of Indian Premier League (IPL) side Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh as well as bookie Vikram Aggarwal had about 200 telephonic conversations between them. This has been revealed during the IPL 2013 spot-fixing and betting scandal probe, being conducted by Supreme Court appointed Justice Mudgal Committee.

Zee News reported that Meiyappan, who is also the son-in-law of International Cricket Council (ICC) chief Narayanswami Srinivasan, got SIM cards by submitting fake documents, to be used for betting.

The Forensic Science Laboratory in Mumbai identified Meiyappan’s voice in a tapped telephonic conversation. Meiyappan was also heard speaking to Vindoo Dara Singh.
