IPL 2013 spot-fixing controversy: Delhi Police find damning evidence in S Sreesanth's laptop

Delhi police sources have revealed that a search of S Sreesanth‘s laptop has revealed more incriminating evidence. This includes an image of him posing with one of the bookies, who was also arrested in the spot-fixing controversy.

Delhi police had seized the mobiles, laptops, iPhones, data cards and other personal belongings of the Rajasthan Royals‘ player to further investigate into the spot-fixing controversy.

In the findings, several e-mail conversations between Sreesanth and two bookies, identified as ‘Jupiter’ and ‘Jiju’ have been deleted. Sources also said that the Indian police cyber cell were being brought in to help retrieve the correspondence as reported by CNN IBN.

This follows events after Indian paceman Sreesanth and two of his Rajasthan Royals teammates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan were arrested by the Delhi police on the charges of spot-fixing in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013.

There has been more arrests of bookies since the issue broke out. IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla also said that strongest action will be taken against tainted players.
