Tainted Indian pacer S Sreesanth‘s friend and alleged bookie Jiju Janardhanan, out on bail after arrest in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 spot-fixing scandal, on Monday claimed innocence, saying that he had not done anything wrong.

“I have faith in the judiciary and will prove my innocence before the court and the people,” Jiju, who has come to his house in Koothuparambu, Kerala after obtaining bail, told reporters.

“Myself and my family know how I had spent the 27 days in the jail,” he said.

Sreesanth, arrested along with two other Rajasthan Royals teammates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan on charges of spot-fixing, was also released from Tihar jail on June 11 on bail. He has also claimed innocence.
