Amit Mishra has been retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH) for 4.75 crores in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 auction. Rajasthan Royals (RR) started the bidding for Mishra, but Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) joined in soon. Delhi Daredevils (DD) entered the bidding at 2.8 crores following which there was a lot of  bidding.

Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) joined in at 4.5 crores, but Delhi raised the bar to 4.75 crores, eventually buying him out. However, as a last-minute surprise, Hyderabad used a ‘Right to Match card’ and got Mishra back.

Mishra will look to continue his good form for his team by doing well with his leg-spinners. He is also a useful batsman down the order.
