India’s uncapped batsman Deepak Hooda has been sold to the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction in Bengaluru on Saturday. Hooda has been a sensation in the domestic level of late, as he has been consistent in scoring runs and is indeed a reliable batsman in any format. His hard-hitting abilities makes him a perfect player for the T20 format, as he fetches Rs. 4.2 crores from SRH. It is a second franchise representing Hyderabad after Deccan Chargers withdrew from the T20 league at the end of 2012 season. The team is owned by Kalanithi Maran of the Sun TV channel Network. Tom Moody is the head coach and Simon Helmot is the assistant coach of the team. David Warner is the current skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team was earlier led by Darren Sammy in 2014.
