Indian seamer Irfan Pathan has has been sold to the Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) in the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction in Bengaluru on Saturday. Pathan, who was one of the most talented Indian seamer in the hostory has since been discarded from the Indian side owing to his inconsistent form, however, he still manages to fore in the domestic circuit as he manages to fetch Rs. 1 crore from RPS. The 2016 IPL Auction is underway in Bengaluru on Sunday, as eight of the teams are going head to head to make the best signing of players for their respective teams, who would clash in the 2016 season (season 9) of the 2016 IPL. The season has a couple of surprises as a couple of the oldest franchise in the league in the form of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have been suspended, leading to the entry of a couple of new teams in the form of Rising Pune Superkings (RPS) and Gujarat Lions (GL). Rising Pune Supergiants have 27 crores in place to to acquire rest of the squad and more 22 players can be added to the squad. The team has two international players and rest include cricketer from team India. Rising Pune Supergiants can be expected to be a better team than Chennai Super Kings and come out stronger in this season of IPL.
