Fast bowler Andrew Tye told cricket.com.au, ” I was sitting on the end of my bed fixing a cricket bat and it felt like the bed started to move. I was like ‘what happened there’ and I looked around the room and certain things were shaking, so I thought ‘it must be an earthquake.”
“There was a bit of commotion in the hallway and we got rushed outside. I immediately thought back to Nepal last year around a similar sort of time. I know how devastating that was. I was more worried for other people rather than myself,” Tye added.
No causalities or damage to property has been reported so far. The epicentre of the earthquake is said to be Afghanistan. Even Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR )and parts of Kashmir also felt similar tremors. The quake is said to have rocked parts of north India at 3.58 PM IST.
