Jharkhand batsman Ishank Jaggi was on Saturday drafted in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 Auction, to be held in Bengaluru on Monday. Jaggi’s inclusion comes at the last moment as forced inclusion, following impressive performance in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Jaggi is currently the third-most run scorer in the tournament this season, with 148 runs from four matches and a highest score of 90. He averages 74 and has scored his runs at a strike rate of 156, while he also has a couple of half-centuries. He is behind Gautam Gambhir and Mayank Agarwal in the list. The 10th edition of the much hyped and most popular; the cash-rich Twenty20 (T20) league Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 is all set to get underway from April 5, 2017. The final schedule of the 2017 season has also been announced as all the eight teams from the previous season would once again compete and fight it out for the coveted title.
