Injuries are not ideal but part of our sport. Compressed tournament & long travel can be gruelling. Sorry for not being there all the way.

A statement released by GL stated: âWhile McCullum endured a strain in his left hamstring during fielding against Delhi Daredevils on May 4, Nathu suffered back spasms during the Lionsâ home game in Rajkot against Kings XI Punjab. Nathu hasnât played a match since then. The New Zealander has been advised three-four weeks of intensive rehabilitation so as not to aggravate the damage in his hamstring.â McCullum has scored 319 runs at an average of 29 in the 11 matches he has played so far in this seasonâs IPL. His highest score was 72.
Nathu, on the other hand, has struggled to find a place in the playing XI this season. He has played only two matches and has claimed just one wicket. A week ago, Dwayne Bravo had been ruled out due to his injury. Andrew Tye, who was at his peak, was also struck by a shoulder injury during the thrilling Mumbai Indians (MI) match.
