Chris Lynn suffered an injury on his left-shoulder during KKR vs MI game BCCI

Chris Lynn s participation for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing 10th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 is in doubt. Lynn injured his left shoulder while stopping a certain boundary at mid-off during a contest between KKR and Mumbai Indians (MI). Lynn was immediately taken off the field and was seen with a strapped-up shoulder in the dressing room. Lynn scored 24-ball 32, before getting trapped in front by Jasprit Bumrah. However, KKR went on to lose the match despite setting a target of 179. IPL 2017: Pollard lashes out at Sanjay Manjrekar

Post the match, Lynn sent out a tweet saying, “Dear Cricket Gods, did I do something wrong?” For that matter, he has injured the same shoulder in 2 years. Lynn, in Kolkata’s opening game against Gujarat Lions, blasted a 41-ball 93 inclusive of 12 boundaries.

Lynn’s Big Bash League franchise, Brisbane Heat, is keeping a stringent eye on his situation in the IPL.”We’ll stay in close contact through this initial process as we get an idea of what the extent of the injury is and what the options are for him,” said Andrew McShea, Heat’s general manager according to ESPNcricinfo.

“It’s unfortunate for Chris to sustain another injury to the shoulder that has troubled him in the past. It’s not the sort of birthday you would wish for, and the best wishes of the club and our fans go out to him,” he further added.
