IPL 2017: Delhi Daredevils (DD) give mannequin challenge to Mumbai Indians (MI)

The mannequin challenge is still not out of trend, and it has infected Indian Premier League (IPL) this summer. It was Delhi Daredevils (DD) who started the proceedings. South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada is seen standing still in the video, opening the door of a gym. Zaheer Khan and Amit Mishra, who took three wickets each against Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS), are seen working out. There are a few domestic players too in the video. The DD captain then breaks the silence and asks, “Had a good time?” Of course, good times are related to Kingfisher and the liquor brand has come up with another campaign called #KingfisherMannequinChallenge.

Given they sponsor Mumbai Indians (MI), the DD players ask the MI paltan to take up the challenge.

MI chose to use football as their theme. The video starts with Harbhajan Singh shouting in disgust, like he is asking for a pass. Nicholas Pooran then grabs Krunal Pandya by the shirt, followed by Mitchell Johnson stopping Nitish Rana and Jagadeesha Suchith.

The video ends with Rohit Sharma tackling Hardik Pandya and scoring a goal. It may have been shot for marketing purpose, but the players seemed to have had a good time playing the role of a mannequin.
