Runners-up of previous edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), Royal Challengers Bangalore has been facing tough times in the current season of the tournament. They are at seventh position currently in points table with only two wins from 10 matches so far and seven defeats. Also, one of their matches was washed out. With only five points in the table, it is nearly impossible for them to qualify playoffs. Even if they win their rest of the four matches, it is highly unlikely RCB will qualifying for playoffs.

But highly unlikely does not mean they cannot. There are certain scenarios in which RCB can make it to playoffs. As reported by Mumbai Mirror, RCB need to win their remaining four matches and on the other hand, if Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) do not win more than one out of their remaining five. Another scenario wis that Gujarat Lions (GL) should not win more than three matches from their remaining five matches. Moreover, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) should not win more than two from their remaining five games.

Coming to Delhi Daredevils (DD), who are currently at the bottom in points table but they can also spoil RCB s chance from qualifying playoffs. Following the other scenarios, if DD wins only four from their rest of the six matches, then teams like RPS, GL, KXIP and DD will remain at bottom four with 12 points and RCB can sneak through to the playoffs.

RCB s will play their rest of the four matches against Mumbai Indians, KXIP, Kolkata Knight Riders and DD. It will be interesting to see, whether they will be able to make it to playoffs or not. For now, they have to go and beat MI on Monday.
