Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) humiliated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Eden Gardens in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 on Sunday. The home side bundled out RCB for mere 49 runs, thus winning the match by a margin of 89 runs. Chasing a lowly total of 132 runs to win, RCB were always behind the eight ball after Nathan Coulter-Nile ran havoc over their famed batting line-up. Coulter-Nile accounted for wickets of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Kedar Jadhav that broke the visitors’ batting into pieces. Umesh Yadav, Chris Woakes and Colin de Grandhomme also complemented him well, chipping in with wickets. Speaking to IPLT20.com after the match, Coulter-Nile said that he just wanted to bowl good balls and not think much. “I just wanted to bowl good balls. I mean they are very good players and you just got to think to yourself don’t get ahead of yourself. Just bowl good balls, hopefully there is something in the wicket and hopefully they make a mistake, and they did,” Coulter-Nile explained.

He further added, “We obviously would have taken any three wickets [Kohli, de Villiers, Gayle], I mean as long as you taking wickets, like all boys did throughout the games. Yeah, I mean it is important doesn’t matter really who it is.”

Speaking on KKR’s win, Coulter-Nile opined, “Hell of a win yeah, when you are defending low totals, I mean you have to something special and the team produced that.”

Speaking about the Eden pitch, “Yeah I mean it’s a tough wicket, if you are just a bit off, you get punished. Fun game to play on that,” Coulter-Nile concluded.
