The Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ended their campaign of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 with a win. But their overall campaign was pretty disappointing as they managed to win just three matches off the 14 games they played, while they managed to finish at the bottom of the table. As for their batsmen, most of them failed including skipper Virat Kohli and explosive opening batsman Chris Gayle, who could manage just 200 runs in the nine matches he played, which also included a half-century. As the players reviewed their campaign for the season, Gayle said that the team failed to click as a unit, leading to the failure to qualify for playoffs. “It was a disappointing one. No one actually particularly clicked in all departments at all. It was more so in patches and we need more of a collective unit to perform out there. But, it just did not happen at all. We will just use it as a learning experience and move on from here,” said Gayle while talking to ANI. Meanwhile, a fashion and lifestyle online brand on Monday signed West Indian star batsman Chris Gayle as its global brand ambassador in a multi-million dollar deal. The 37-year-old will represent the brand internationally for the next five years, according to the organisers, as reported by PTI. Chris Gayle turns into investor
